Bet of the day: George to score 22 or more points in Pacers triumph
Robbie Purves | 14 December 2016
Coral’s bet of the day
- Miami are 8-17 this season, third bottom of the Eastern Conference
- Paul George is on his way to averaging the highest points per game (PPG) of his career
- Heat are 3-8 at home this season
George 11/4 to score 22 or more in Pacers win
Coming off the back of consecutive wins, Nate McMillan’s Indiana Pacers will look to pile yet more misery on a Miami Heat side still recovering after losing franchise player Dwyane Wade in the offseason.
After recovering from a horrific injury last season Pacers’ star man Paul George is averaging 21.8 points per game, well on his way to a career high, and will look to rise against a sometimes lax Miami defence.
George has recorded 22 and 37 in his last two run outs on the hard court and, with Erik Spoelstra’s Miami with just three wins from 11 games at home this term, take advantage of our bet of the day and back George to score 22 points or more in a Pacers win at 11/4 (£/€20 max stake) with Coral.
Heat deficiencies to prove decisive
The teams split a four-game series last term, but Indiana were busy in the offseason attracting talent from around the league, while the Floridian side lost their leader.
Pacers look to have too much offensive power for Spoelstra’s side to handle, not only possessing three-time All-Star George, but also impressive second-year pro Myles Turner – who notched 22 last time out.
Miami may be without a few key names tonight and could prove costly, Justise Winslow is questionable, with Dion Waiters and Chris Bosh also continuing their run out of the team.
Heat possess a bleak record, considering the successes in recent years, of 8-17 this season and sit third bottom of the Eastern Conference with little chance of making the playoffs.
With this in mind, and George in blistering form, be sure to take Coral’s bet of the day!
