Bet of the day: Man Utd to beat Fenerbahce by three or more in Europa League outing

Robbie Purves | 20 October 2016

Coral’s bet of the day

  • Fenerbahce are struggling in Turkey’s Super Lig
  • Man Utd are unbeaten in their last five outings
  • Utd look set to field full strength line-up to qualify from group

Red Devils 9/2 to win by three goals among our Man Utd v Fenerbahce odds

After a rocky start, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United now appear to be finding their feet. The Old Trafford outfit is unbeaten in their last five encounters and recently produced a trademark Mourinho performance away at Anfield, grinding out a well fought point.

Meanwhile, Dick Advocaat’s Fenerbahce have continued their poor run. The Istanbul outfit currently sit ninth in the Turkish Super Lig and already eight points behind the leaders, slipping down the table with disappointing draws against Osmanlispor and Alanyaspor.

With this in mind, and Man Utd’s firepower, expect Mourinho’s men to ease past their struggling Europa League opponents, beating Advocaat’s outfit by three or more goals at 9/2 (£/€20 max stake) with Coral.

Last time out at Old Trafford, the Red Devils triumphed 6-2 in the Champions League, with an 18-year-old Wayne Rooney hitting a hat-trick on his United debut.

Full strength lineup to sink visitors

Last time out Mourinho fielded a near full-strength line-up against Zorya Luhansk and, in the run up to the Fenerbahce encounter, the Red Devils manager refused to name his starting selection.

This suggests a strong team could be fielded as United look to battle for top spot in their group.

A full strength lineup looks likely against a struggling Fenerbahce side.

Mourinho also possesses an extraordinary managerial home record. The Portuguese has only lost 10 of 261 home league games as a manager, an incredible feat that looks set to continue.

Fenerbahce star man, and former Man Utd hero Robin van Persie, will also be returning tonight. However, the lethal marksman hasn’t been starting and is even failing to make the bench in some fixtures.
