Bet of the Day: Bournemouth to take three points at Swansea
Cherries hunting a third successive win
AFC Bournemouth are on a roll right now, following three wins in their last four games. The Cherries produced a 4-0 mauling of Huddersfield Town last time out, but it’s their recent away form which has proved most impressive.
The South Coast club head into Saturday’s game at Swansea City looking for a third successive victory on the road. Eddie Howe’s men have seen off Newcastle United and Stoke City in recent weeks
By comparison, victory over the Swans should be simple. They’ve lost five successive games in all competitions.
The pair’s Head-to-Head record also points to a Bournemouth triumph. The Cherries have won three successive meetings with Swansea, including a 3-0 victory at the Liberty Stadium last season. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Bournemouth to Win at 33/20.
Cherries value to produce a shutout
The Swans’ main struggle this term has been a lack of goals. They’ve managed just seven Premier League goals in 12 games. Tammy Abraham has provided four of those, but the England international is currently suffering a lean spell, with no goal in five.
As for Bournemouth, they’ve been pretty good at the back. The Cherries have the joint-best defensive record outside the top half, and have actually conceded fewer than top-six outfits Arsenal and Liverpool.
Add the fact they won both of last season’s meetings against Swansea without conceding a goal, and Bournemouth to Win to Nil looks good value at 10/3.
Wilson could do the damage in South Wales
After nine months out with injury, Callum Wilson has returned in some style for the Cherries. The former Coventry City man has bagged four goals in as many games for Howe’s side – including a hat-trick against Huddersfield last weekend.
Having looked very strong before January’s injury, everything suggests the 25-year-old’s impressive displays in recent weeks will continue.
With Swansea keeping just one clean sheet in eight matches, they’re also one of the league’s easiest defences to unlock. Wilson to score Anytime looks good value at 7/4.
