Bet of the Day: Back Wolves to edge it versus Sheffield Wednesday
Richard Marsh | 15 December 2017
Friday night footy in the Championship
The weekend action kicks off early in the Championship, with Sheffield Wednesday hosting Wolves tonight.
It should be an excellent encounter. The Owls have proven tough to beat at Hillsborough, while the table-topping visitors are the standout squad this term.
But Wednesday’s problem is that they’re drawing too many games, and can’t keep enough clean sheets.
Having conceded in eight of their last 10 at home, the Yorkshire side could be in trouble versus free-scoring Wolves. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Wolves to win at 23/20.
Wolves to stifle Owls
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have been just as good on the road as they have at Molineux.
Wolves have won four of their last five away games – each without conceding.
In fact they’ve only let in seven goals on their travels this season, the best in the division by some margin.
With Wednesday failing to net in two of their last five games, Wolves to win to nil looks good at 5/2.
Leo Bonatini is quickly becoming a fan favourite with the Wolves faithful.
The Brazilian has bagged 12 league goals so far, including eight in his last 10 games.
He’s proven potent on the road too, scoring in three of his last four away matches.
