Bet of the Day: Chelsea to put Leicester to the sword
Champions should have too much for the Foxes
The two most recent Premier League champions face off at the King Power Stadium this afternoon as Chelsea travel to play Leicester City.
Last season’s title winners usually enjoy their trips to the East Midlands. The Blues have won five of their last six visits to this part of the world. A solitary defeat in 2015 is the only blotch on their record.
In fact Chelsea are something of a bogey team for Leicester. Craig Shakespeare’s men have lost 11 of their last 13 against the West Londoners.
With two wins from their last two Antonio Conte’s side are now hitting their stride. For that reason, Coral’s Bet of the Day is Chelsea to win at 4/5.
Goals to flow
There tends to be goals when these two meet. And most of them are usually scored by Chelsea. The Blues have hit 3+ in their last three meetings against the Foxes.
In total, 10 of the last 12 head-to-head’s have seen over 2.5 goals land. It’s 5/6 to come to fruition for a third successive year.
Morata to add to his tally
Alvaro Morata has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge. He already has two goals in three games since moving from Real Madrid. That tally looks set to increase this weekend.
Against Leicester’s slow centre-halves, Morata should get plenty of joy. He also has a fantastic supply line. Eden Hazard is expected to return at the King Power. Meanwhile, Davide Zappacosta could make his debut. The right-back will provide another attacking threat with his exceptional crossing ability.
All of that means Morata should add to his tally at the King Power this afternoon. It’s 23/20 that he scores anytime. While Coral go 10/3 apiece that he nets the first or last goal in the contest.
