Bet of the Day: Eibar to pile travel woe on Flores’ Espanyol

Mid-table La Liga action in the Basque country

Sunday’s top pick comes from La Liga and more specifically, a fixture which may ordinarily go under the radar.

Eibar host Espanyol and both sides are on course for a steady mid-table finish.

Quique Sanchez Flores’ visitors are two points above their hosts in the table. But that could be about to change.

Espanyol have been dire on the road this season.  They’re winless in seven.

And with Eibar losing just one of their last five at home, Coral’s Bet of the Day is Eibar to win at 27/20.

Don’t expect a goalfest

Not only have Periquitos failed to collect points away from home – just two – they can’t even score.

Espanyol have drawn a blank in five of their away games. And only two sides have scored fewer than their 10 goals scored overall.

So Eibar to win to nil looks good at 13/5.

Slow starting visitors

Espanyol haven’t helped themselves by starting slowly.

Flores has seen his side go behind within 30 minutes in four of their last six away games.

That’s something Eibar coach Jose Luis Mendilibar might well pick up on.

Coral are 3/1 on Eibar/Eibar in the Half-Time/Full-Time.  While it’s 8/1 Eibar’s first goal comes between the 21st and 30th minutes.
