Championship tips for matchweek 21
Football fans are treated to midweek Championship action on December 13 and 14, with Norwich City v Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic v Newcastle United shown live on TV over the two days.
There is also a crunch clash between play-off dwellers Leeds United and Reading at Elland Road, as all 24 second-tier teams tussle on Tuesday and Wednesday.
So, read on to find out Coral’s top Championship tips for matchweek 21, as well as an awesome acca to take advantage of if you like the look of it…
Canaries and Villans to share spoils
Live on Sky Sports 1, on Tuesday at 19:45 GMT
It was nearly this time last year that these two teams were battling it out in the Premier League, but now they tussle as mid-table Championship clubs.
Norwich are two points and four places ahead of Villa in ninth, but are on a dreadful run of form that has seen them lose six of their last seven matches.
The Villans, meanwhile, have looked impressive since Steve Bruce took over, and so they can claim a draw away at Carrow Road at 9/4.
Leeds to beat Royals and both teams score
Two of the most in-form teams in the league collide on Tuesday evening too, as sixth-place Leeds have the chance to cut their five point deficit on Reading, who are up in third.
The Whites are undefeated against the Royals in each of their last four meetings across the past two seasons, and so are a very tempting 18/5 to win with both teams scoring.
Magpies to net three or more at Wigan
Live on Sky Sports 1, on Wednesday at 19:45 GMT
Wednesday’s live fixture sees the table-topping Toon travel to Wigan, who are way down in 23rd in the Championship.
Newcastle seem to have got over their mini slump of three successive losses in all competitions by thrashing Birmingham City 4-0 last time out.
So, why not back them to net three or more goals once more at 13/5?
Derby to down Hoops to nil in London
Derby county have rapidly risen the table, after six wins on the trot, including most recently in the East Midlands derby against Nottingham Forest.
Steve McClaren has certainly worked wonders since returning to Pride Park as boss, so why not take tasty odds of 5/2 for his Rams to win to nil, as QPR have lost three in succession – scoring just once.
