20/1 Sunday football accumulator

Frank Monkhouse | 11 June 2017

Ireland head our five-fold

What promises to be an exciting weekend of international football is brought to a close on Sunday evening, with a busy round of World Cup qualifiers. With Ireland and Wales both in action in Group D, there’s plenty to keep punters entertained.

Coral have the betting covered, and what better way to celebrate a feast of football than with a winning accumulator? We’ve given our thoughts on how you can profit from the day, laying out our five best picks below. Every £10 down pays £213.40, with prices and returns correct at the time of writing.

Ireland beat Austria

We have previewed this game in a bit more detail on the football section of our site, but to break it down into a bitesize chunk, Ireland are the form side and go at a cracking price to get the win. The Green Army march into this one unbeaten in five starts so far, three wins and two draws. That run includes a 1-0 over Sunday’s opponents in the reverse of this fixture. ROI will be hoping Wales can do them a favour against Serbia, but are capable of helping themselves to all three points here, at our attractive 13/10.

Ukraine beat Finland

Dropping in on Group I, and Ukraine have plenty of work ahead of them if they are to battle their way to the World Cup in Russia, but the right set of results here could see them leapfrog Iceland into second place, behind convincing leaders Croatia. Ukraine beat Finland 1-0 near the end of last year, and have suffered just one defeat so far, the spare coming against Croatia. Ukraine join us at 4/5.

Croatia beat Iceland

Holding our ground and Croatia can take a huge leap towards booking their tickets for the World Cup proper when travelling to Iceland. They have set themselves up on solid ground, putting together a run of four wins and a draw. Following an opening week 1-1 with Turkey, the selections have been utterly convincing, and they’ll strengthen their hand here. 21/20 on the away day is better than I expected to see.

Israel beat Albania

A meeting of two uninspiring sides, who have both been unable to nail down any kind of consistency so far. Israel are one place higher than their opponents in the pecking order, and will take plenty of confidence from the stats, with Albania losing each of their last three, failing to score a single goal during that drought. Israel have won three of their last four and deserve a chance at 6/5.

Spain beat Macedonia

Lastly, this one should fall into line and end in a strong Spanish win, certainly if the odds compilers are to be believed. Coral traders have The Red Fury priced as 1/7 shots to boost their tally by three, and that looks just about fair. Spain are top, Macedonia are second bottom, having lost four of five. We shouldn’t be let down here.
