Back Bayern to gain Bundesliga revenge on Dortmund
Bayern Munich can cement their position at the top of the Bundesliga by beating rivals Borussia Dortmund in ‘Der Klassiker’ at 21/20.
Pep Guardiola’s side have won 10 of their 12 Bundesliga games this season and currently have a four point lead over today’s rivals.
Their pursuit of a second Bundeliga title in a row has been based on solid foundations; they have only conceded seven goals in 12 games.
Whilst Dortmund will certainly pose a threat up-front, the key to the contest will be in their defence where the home side have well-documented injury woes.
Bet on Bayern Munich to win at 21/20
Coach Jurgen Klopp has called for the vocal home support to play their part in the contest, but even 80,000 fans at the Westfalenstadion won’t be able to plug the gaps left by the absence of his entire back four.
Many of those fans will be well aware of the recent stranglehold that Dortmund have held over their rivals, winning four and drawing two of the last six games between the two sides.
However, despite the absence of Franck Ribery because of injury, players such as Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and Mario Mandzukic must all be thinking that they won’t get a better time to terrorise Klopp’s side.
The latter pair have 13 Bundesliga goals between them so far this season however scoring against Dortmund in the league has not come so easy.
Bet on Marco Reus to score anytime at 15/8
The last four league meetings between the two sides have all featured less than two goals and it was only a late winner for Bayern that secured a 2-1 victory in the fine spectacle that was the 2013 Champions League Final.
Dortmund’s threat often lies with Robert Lewandoski who himself has nine Bundesliga goals to date and the Pole is 6/1 to score first.
However the more lucrative man to side with is Marco Reus who scored two in Dortmund’s 4-2 Super Cup win over Bayern at the start of the season.
The 24-year-old has seven to his name so far this season and he is a tempting 15/8 to score anytime.
