Giuseppe Bellusci bombshell reveals Leeds is home from home

Leeds United new signing, Giuseppe Bellusci has admitted that he has found a home away from home in England, saying he has “never felt as comfortable as I do on an English field.”

The Italian centre back has been a revelation since joining the West Yorkshire club, who are 20/1 with Coral to secure promotion back to Premier League, from Catania, helping to shore up the defence and establishing a fantastic relationship and on-field understanding with fellow new signing, and compatriot; goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, who has also been one of the team’s best players.

Speaking about his experiences so far, the defender said: “Someone asked me what has to happen for an Italian club to take me back to Serie A and I replied ‘they shouldn’t have sent me here!’

“I have no [problem] with anyone and I don’t say I’ll stay here all my life. But I’ve never felt as comfortable as I do on an English field.”

Having certainly made an impression so far since he came to England, being handed a red card on his debut, he has gone on to shine and earned a reputation as a dead ball specialist, as he proved with his stunning long range drive against Bournemouth.

He has also spoke of his joy at being presented with the opportunity to sign for Leeds: “I was optimistic at a club led by president Cellino, with a historic [place] in English football,” Bellusci added.

Meanwhile, youth academy product Chris Dawson has spoken out about first-team chances, touting the possibility about going out on loan to get the requisite experience that he needs.

“If I can’t get first-team football here and I’m not considered then I’d have no choice but to try to impress elsewhere, hopefully come back and play in the first team here.

“I’m ready to push on a bit further now and hopefully get first-team football. If it’s not here then hopefully on loan for a month. It needs to be the next step now for my career,” the 20-year-old continued.

“It can be frustrating as in the [past] year I’ve been overlooked a little bit. But I am very pleased with my form. It’s definitely getting better every game.”
