Bordeaux, Lille and Montpellier in fantastic French treble at 7/1
Coral are offering enticing odds of 7/1 for this weekend’s French football Ligue 1 matches, with top-flight teams Bordeaux, Lille and Montpellier involved in enhanced treble.
Willy Sagnol’s table-topping side this term travel to Nice, Rene Girard’s men host Lorient and Rolland Courbis’ boys entertain Metz.
Nice v Bordeaux
Bordeaux, league champions in 2009 under Laurent Blanc, have not lost in their last four meetings with Nice, and are 6/4 favourites again, as they travel east to challenge a side who narrowly avoided relegation last term, as they finished in 17th.
Current leaders Bordeaux, winning both of their first two games and top on goal difference, won this fixture 2-1 last season, and are 9/1 to record that scoreline again.
Lille v Lorient
Ligue 1 winners in 2011 Lille face Lorient, who have beaten them just once in their last nine head-to-heads, and lost their last four. The home side are odds-on at 8/11 to win again.
Lille, who finished third last term, have a habit of scoring big against Lorient as, in recent years, they have recorded 4-1, 5-0 and 6-3 victories over them. Those first two results in their favour once more are 33/1 and 80/1 respectively.
Girard’s side are also a great 15/8 chance to win to nil, as three of their last four victories have come without conceding.
Montpellier v Metz
These two sides have not met in any competition since 2004, and only six times in history, but the home side recorded a 3-0 victory against them in 2001. Montpellier are odds-on at 4/5 to win, and 14/1 by that scoreline once more.
Newly-promoted Metz have found life in the top-flight difficult so far, and are without a victory this season so far from their first two games, while the home side have three points.
