Brendan Rodgers 4/1 to leave Celtic before end of the season

Rodgers’ odds slashed in half
This season has started badly for Celtic. The Hoops lost 1-0 to Heart of Midlothian on Saturday, before being dumped out of the Champions League qualifiers by AEK Athens last night.
That exit means the Parkhead outfit won’t be involved in the UCL play-off round for the first time since 2012.
And it’s seen odds of Brendan Rodgers leaving before the end of the season cut into 4/1 (previously 8/1) by Coral’s traders this morning.
Coral’s John Hill said: “The odds on Brendan Rodgers leaving Celtic before the end of season have been slashed following his side’s exit from the Champions League.”
The Hoops will have to recover quickly this weekend. They visit Partick Thistle in the League Cup Round of 16.
Another cup exit could see those odds of a Rodgers exit slip further. The Hoops are 2/9 for victory, with Thistle 12/1 to record a historic win.
As it stands, Celtic are 1/8 to win the Scottish Premiership. But with Hearts looking strong, and the threat of a resurgent Rangers, it’s unlikely to be all plain sailing for Rodgers.
