Adomah to lead goalfest when Middlesbough travel to Millwall

This fixture has featured four or more goals in three of the last four clashes and punters should back history to repeat at a generous 5/2.

The bet would also have landed in ten of Millwall’s last 17 games and fans of the South London side are certainly getting value for money.

Their last four games have seen three or more goals scored – which is a very generous Evens  – and Steve Lomas’ side struggle at the back; they’ve only kept three clean sheets in 20 matches.

Bet on over 3.5 goals at 5/2

Only two sides have a worse record – Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley.

Eighteenth-placed Millwall come into the match on the back of a 3-2 defeat at Blackburn and there have been at least three goals scored in six of their last seven games.

All four of the Lions’ four main forwards – Jermaine Easter, Scott McDonald, Steve Morison and Martyn Waghorn – have contributed to a goals tally that rests at 25.

That figure is higher than league leaders QPR, and nine other teams in the Championship, and the home side can be relied on to find the net.

Bet on over 2.5 goals at Evens

That comment also applies to visitors Middlesborough, who have remarkably scored five more than their hosts.

Aitor Karanka’s side are just one point behind Millwall in the table but have by far the best goal difference amongst the struggling sides.

Unfortunately for their fans, they’ve also conceded goals at crucial times, including an 86th minute strike last weekend which sealed a 1-0 win for Brighton.

That was the third goal in as many matches that the North East side have conceded in the last five minutes – and they have conceded 17 second-half goals this season.

Bet on Albert Adomah to score first at 8/1

But they do score goals, and will fancy their chances against a rival team who have conceded 40 goals in 20 games – the most in the league.

The goals have come from 11 different players, but it is Albert Adomah who has contributed most with seven.

Ably supported by four-goal trio Kei Kamara, Mustapha Carayol and Grant Leadbitter, Karanka’s side really are a threat going forward.

Adomah is 8/1 to score first and the £1million signing from Bristol City has done so on three occasions already this season.
