Chelsea v Stoke – Draw
As the Blues have been held in four of Guus Hiddink’s Premier League games and Stoke have been in splendid form of late, a share of the spoils at Stamford Bridge for Mark Hughes and the Potters looks likely.
Everton v West Ham – Home win
Romelu Lukaku has scored in all seven of his Toffees appearances against the Hammers, so expect the big Belgian to be the scourge of Slaven Bilic’s boys again.
Newcastle v Bournemouth – Home win
It’s a long trip up to Tyneside for the Cherries, and not one that is likely to be successful. Steve McClaren’s men need the points more and on home turf should beat their south coast opposition at St James’ Park.
Southampton v Sunderland – Home win
The Black Cats got smashed 8-0 on their last visit to St Mary’s and, while such a scoreline is way over par, another three points for Ronald Koeman’s team looks assured given the lengthy trip made by the visitors.
Swansea v Norwich – Draw
Because the Canaries have lost just one of their seven Premier League encounters with the Swans, this relegation six-pointer may end level.
Ipswich v Nottingham Forest – Draw
Four of the last five encounters have seen honours end even, so take the Tractor Boys and Tricky Trees to draw again at Portman Road.
Preston v Brighton – Home win
Chris Hughton’s high-flying Seagulls haven’t travelled well to the north, so given this game is at Deepdale, it may be worth siding with the home team.
Watford v Leicester – Away win
The Foxes should not fear being stung by the Hornets and this is a very winnable game for Claudio Ranieri’s men.
Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich – Away win
Although he’s joining Manchester City this summer, Pep Guardiola still has Bayern in irrepressible form. The Munich men have lost twice all season and home advantage will prove no defence for Dortmund.
Deportivo La Coruna v Malaga – Draw
At the Riazor, Deportivo have drawn three of their last four, so the Anchovies can pinch a point from this Atlantic v Mediterranean coastal encounter.
Torino v Lazio – Away win
Four successive victories for Italian capital club Lazio in this fixture mean a win in Turin looks on the cards.
Crystal Palace v Liverpool – Draw
The Eagles are struggling to keep clean sheets, but have a fine recent record of raising their game and embarrassing the Anfield outfit. Jurgen Klopp’s crew could thus drop points at Selhurst Park.
West Brom v Man Utd – Away win
Louis van Gaal has come through recent tough tests despite multiple injuries, so a trip to the Baggies can continue the recent Red Devils recovery.
Valencia v Atletico Madrid – Away win
Diego Simeone’s side have by far the best defence in La Liga, and there has been little to shout about during the controversial appointment of Gary Neville at the Mestalla. Back an away win for Atleti against the Bats.
Espanyol v Rayo Vallecano – Draw
With just two points and places separating these two going into the weekend, a share of the spoils is a sound investment.
