Five players to watch out for in Capital One Cup round three

Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City begin their quests to win the Capital One Cup in round three, and that got Coral’s football experts thinking.

What promising players will be on show at this stage of the competition? We put our heads together and came up with five names that could make an impact in the cup.

Dele Alli
This MK Dons prodigy has scored five goals in four matches since Karl Robinson’s side upset Manchester United in the last round. Alli, 18, will be unleashed on fellow League One side Bradford City next, and the attacking midfielder, who is attracting interest from top-flight teams, is 9/5 for a goal anytime.

Lewis Baker
Chelsea academy product Baker could be given the nod by Jose Mourinho in the Blues’ battle with Bolton Wanderers. Big things are expected of this teenage midfielder, so why not back him in the anytime market at 11/4?

Saido Mane
Senegal winger Mane was a £10m signing from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg for Southampton this summer. He is set to make his Saints debut against Arsenal and is a 7/1 shot to score first.

Harrison McGahey
When Sheffield United sold star centre back Harry Maguire this summer, Nigel Clough turned to former Blackpool youngster McGahey, who was also a junior at Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers. The Blades take on fellow third-tier team Leyton Orient away here and are targeting defensive improvement. McGahey is 13/5 to help the Steel City side keep a clean sheet in London.

Samed Yesil
Germany youth international striker Yesil has been named by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers in the matchday squad for their home tie with Middlesbrough. Although Rickie Lambert is set to lead the Reds attack, this 20-year-old could come off the bench and is a 7/2 chance to round off the scoring by netting last.
