Euro 2016 qualifiers: Belgium battle Bosnia and Herzegovina

Belgium have some significant ground to make up in Euro 2016 qualifying Group B, after allowing Wales to jump three points clear at the top of a pool initially tipped to be theirs.

The Red Devils now prepare to scrap with inconsistent Bosnia and Herzegovina (2/1 with Coral still to qualify), who have been underwhelming themselves so far, and now look like failing to make it to France.

Marc Wilmots’ men are 4/9 match favourites, considering the Premier League player power in their ranks, but have thrown four points away against Wales, and two to the Golden Lilies in the reverse.

Now on home turf, Belgium are 10/3 to be held to another draw, but more likely at 15/8 to score three or more.

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany will lead his country and is, crucially, back on form. So, with the likes of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen also at Wilmots beck and call, the hosts are 5/4 to make it a win to nil.

Punters can take their pick from poachers Christian Benteke and Romelu Lukaku, now rivals on Merseyside, both priced at 7/5 in the anytime market. While attacking midfield provides even more options for a wager, with new Manchester City marquee man Kevin De Bruyne 13/2 to net the opener.

Mancunian competitor Marouane Fellaini, a Red Devil two times over and top Belgian marksman in qualifying, is 11/2 to finish the scoring. While, Chelsea magician Eden Hazard and new Borussia Dortmund loan star Adnan Januzaj complete up a formidable attacking army.

Bosnia and Herzegovina are no slouches in the frontline department themselves, as main dangerman Edin Dzeko has adjusted well to life with Roma.

The Manchester City-owned marksman (7/1 to strike the opener) endeared himself to the Stadio Olimpico with a goal against Juventus, where he toils with teammate Miralem Pjanic (9/2 to net anytime).

Also on offer to pose Belgium’s back line problems are Cesena striker Milan Djuric and Hertha Berlin veteran Vedad Ibisevic, respective 7/2 and 16/5 anytime shouts.

Can the Balkan Peninusla outfit pull-off a shock here? While a point would keep them in the mix, it is a victory at 13/2 which is required to keep hope alive of a Euro 2016 adventure.
