Take 10/3 Europa League double on Carlos Tevez and Oscar Cardozo
There’s money to be made on the Europa League quarter-final second leg matches taking place.
Back both Juventus forward Carlos Tevez to net in the match with Lyon, and Benfica target man Oscar Cardozo to score against AZ Alkmaar with Coral, and punters receive boosted odds of 10/3.
Here are some reasons why this is such a great bet.
Argentine frontman Tevez has led the way for Juve this term, and leads the Serie A scoring charts with 18. Punters may be concerned by his European drought, but he looks a lock to break that duck for the Turin giants on home turf.
Over half of the league strikes (10 out of 18) Tevez has racked up since switching from Manchester City last summer have come at the Juventus Stadium. He is a 4/1 to net the opener, and even-money on his own to grab a goal anytime.
Tevez has scored against Lyon before, so he knows what it takes to do so against this particular opposition. Antonio Conte’s Old Lady have an away goal lead coming into this second leg, and are odds-on both to win in 90 minutes at 1/3, and to advance to the semis at 1/16.
Paraguay frontman Cardozo, meanwhile, has relished scoring in the Europa League. Since the competition was rebranded, he has netted 20 times in 33 appearances. Back that impressive ratio against Alkmaar by grabbing the first goal at 4/1. Like Tevez too, he is even-money to be on target anytime, so combine them for better odds.
Benfica also have an away goal cushion in their tie, so are odds-on at 1/3 to continue a phenomenal unbeaten run at the Estadio da Luz. Jorge Jesus’ team are 1/12 to advance.
Cardozo has scored one in two against Eredivise clubs (PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente), so needs a goal against Alkmaar to keep up that record. Facing an average defence, he looks likely to pounce on opportunities, with talented wide men like Eduardo Salvio, Lazar Markovic and Nico Gaitan to find him from the flanks.
