In-form Bony and Higuain in Swansea/Napoli face-off

Swansea City’s Wilfried Bony now has 19 goals for the season in all competitions after his recent double against Liverpool, so can the Ivorian help fire the Welsh side into the last 16 of the Europa League? Back him at 11/4 to net anytime.

Napoli (favourites to progress at 4/11) host Swansea (11/5) in the second leg of Europe’s secondary competition after the 0-0 draw at the Liberty Stadium. Rafa Benitez’s boys are odds-on at 1/2 to win the second leg in 90 minutes. The Swans are 6/1 shots and it’s 100/30 on a draw.

The Welsh outfit produced a fine display against the Italians but were just unable to break the deadlock. However, they will be encouraged by the fact their opponents didn’t manage to get an away goal.

Garry Monk’s side travel to the Stadio San Paolo off the back of the Premier League defeat at Anfield, although they did manage to score three times.

One of those goals came from Jonjo Shelvey, who will sit out against Napoli due to a hamstring injury, but two-goal Bony is ready to lead the line. Spaniard Michu must wait again for his comeback, but Swansea defender Ben Davies returns to the side.

Benitez’s Napoli currently occupy third in Serie A, but most recently could only manage a 1-1 draw to 11th-placed Genoa at home. The same scoreline in the Europa League (at 15/2) would result in the Swans advancing on away goals.

Europa League second-favourites Napoli (8/1) – Swansea are 40/1 – have only won four of their last 10 fixtures. But Benitez may chose to favour the domestic league as his side look to cling on to the third and final Champions League spot – they are six points ahead of fourth-placed Fiorentina.

Napoli have lost just once in their last 12 Serie A games, however, largely thanks to goals from their main attacking threat Gonzalo Higuain – who has eight in his previous 12 matches. The Argentine’s four goals in five Champions League group games this season put him in good stead at 6/5 to score anytime.
