In-form Danny Welbeck to guide Man Utd past struggling Swansea
Nine of Swansea’s 13 defeats this season have been by one goal and the same scenario should be backed this afternoon at 12/5 when the Swans travel to Manchester United.
David Moyes’ side beat Swansea 4-1 in Wales earlier in the season but since then his team have not excelled in front of goal – they have failed to score in five matches – and they are missing both Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie today.
Van Persie scored two in that fixture but so did Danny Welbeck, and the England forward has been in fine form of late.
Bet on Danny Welbeck to score first at 4/1
Playing in a more advanced role than has often been the case, Welbeck has scored five goals in his last five Premier League matches.
Full of confidence at present, and scaring defenders with his pace and direct running, he looks the most obvious contender to score first – especially as he is now the main focal point for Utd’s play going forward.
He’s 4/1 to score first, as well as Evens to find the net at any time.

Javier Hernandez and Shinji Kagawa should also feature as both manager and fans at Old Trafford anticipate victory for a club who may have won the FA Cup a record 11 times, but not since 2004.
Moyes said: “If you are a club like Manchester United, you want to be involved in all competitions.
“For this club not to have won the FA Cup for 10 years is a bit of a surprise.
“It’s something we will try to do and we will do everything we possibly can to try to get through on Sunday.”

Whilst United have injury problems up-front, so do the visitors who will be without talisman Michu, as well as Nathan Dyer and, most probably, Leon Britton and Pablo Hernandez.
That means Wilfried Bony will once again bear most of the responsibility for Swansea’s goals, and to his credit it is a responsibility he has borne well.
The Ivorian scored two against fellow Mancunians, Manchester City, earlier this week, and he has now scored 12 goals in all competitions since moving from Vitesse Arnhem.
The powerful forward is 11/4 to score at any time as he did when the clubs met in August, whilst Jonjo Shelvey, Swansea’s creative force in midfield, is a 7/2 chance.
The former Liverpool man would love to score against their fierce rivals as he did against his old side in September.
Bet on Jonjo Shelvey to score anytime at 7/2
However Moyes’ side should be too strong, as they have improved significantly since the start of December.
Prior to their defeat against a rejuvenated Tottenham, they had won their previous six games in all competitions, only conceding three goals in the process.
Swansea have never won at Old Trafford, and with no win in seven games, it looks like being a tough afternoon for captain Ashley Williams and his team.
