European tips for this weekend’s action
The Premier League title race will be an intriguing watch this weekend, but there are a host of top class clashes elsewhere on the continent on Sunday, with tasty tussles coming from the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
So read on to see Coral’s top tips for the exciting action throughout Europe’s top leagues this super Sunday, which could potentially bring you a juicy profit to enjoy…
Dortmund’s Aubameyang to bag brace over Schalke
Borussia Dortmund are maintaining good pace with Bundesliga front runners Bayern Munich, with Thomas Tuchel’s side sitting just five points adrift of the league leaders at this stage of an entertaining campaign.
The Black and Yellows next make a trip to Schalke, but they will be confident of gaining a result having won the previous two successive fixture meetings, including a 3-2 reverse clash victory in November.
Main marksman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on target that day with a clinical second-half strike, and the Gabon international hitman has netted in his last three outings against Schalke (plus four in five), making him a promising 4/1 for a brace or more this time out.
The German top-flight sharpshooter has dispatched an incredible 33 times this current campaign, and has managed to net two or more in a single fixture on seven occasions in all competitions, so backing him for another double is well worth a punt.
Gameiro grabs goal for Sevilla against Valencia
French frontman Kevin Gameiro has been in sublime form this term for Sevilla, as they chase a third consecutive Europa League crown and a European spot domestically.
The clinical Bathtubs poacher recently dispatched against Real Sociedad, following a deadly double over Basel in the Europa League, and is 6/4 to tuck home another goal anytime in his latest outing over Los Che.
Gameiro will look to add to his impressive season tally of 22 goals when he takes to the Mestalla Stadium turf this Sunday, and his outstanding outings to date suggest he may well taste scoring success on the road against a side who are just six points above the La Liga relegation zone.
Lazio’s Candreva to net past Palermo
Lazio attacker Antonio Candreva has enjoyed an impressive campaign so far, having bagged nine goals in all competitions, and his recent form in meetings with Palermo will boost his side’s hopes of success.
Not that they will need much encouragement though, as the hosts lie haplessly in Serie A’s relegation places with just 28 points to show for their efforts, and Italy international forward Candreva is likely to cause them havoc again.
On Sunday evening, the 29-year-old winger is 11/5 to fire in anytime in this fixture, having struck in his last two fixture appearances against Palermo, including a second-half equaliser during the reverse encounter last November.
Share of spoils between Marseille and Bordeaux
In Sunday night’s Ligue 1 action, it’s a clash between 12th-placed Bordeaux and 13th positioned Marseille that punters can take advantage of, in a game that looks highly likely of ending all square for a second successive meeting.
The two sides played out a 1-1 stalemate at the Nouveau Stade Bordeaux last December, with Wahbi Khazri netting for Les Girondins and Alaixys Romao striking for Les Olympiens.
Ahead of their latest clash, another draw is 5/2 to occur at the Stade Velodrome, with the hosts having finished level in three of their previous five games in all competitions, while Bordeaux have shared spoils in three of their last six encounters on all fronts.
