Juventus and Napoli are best bets in Serie A top four clashes

The best teams in Italy (if the Serie A table is anything to go by) are facing one another.

Reigning champions Juventus, who look destined to retain their crown for a third straight season, face fourth-placed Fiorentina at home. Napoli and Roma also do battle to determine, who is the best of the rest behind the Old Lady.

Coral previews both these games, which offer great value for punters if you bet on the right market.

Juventus v Fiorentina
Vincenzo Montella’s Viola inflicted the only league defeat leaders Juventus have suffered all season. Now comes the return fixture and the first of three encounters in 11 days – with a two-legged Europa League last 16 tie next.

Juve are odds-on favourites at 4/11 for to avenge that 4-2 defeat in Florence. Punters can get 200/1 on Fiorentina repeating that feat. Montella’s men start as 8/1 outsiders to complete a Serie A double over the Old Lady because they have only won once in their last four in all competitions.

Mario Gomez has missed much of the season for Fiorentina injured. Now he has returned to action, however, and once scored in an away victory for Bayern Munich in Turin.

Fellow striker Alessandro Matri faces his former club here, and has four in nine against Juventus. Back Gomez to announce his comeback with a goal anytime at 7/4 or Matri to be a thorn in Antonio Conte’s side by scoring at 11/4.

A draw is rated the least likely outcome by Coral at 18/5. Juve have won three of their last four games in all competitions by a scoreline of 2-0.

That being the precise result again is an 11/2 shot and, with in-form strike partnership Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente set to be unleashed on the Florentine team (both are odds-on to net anytime), it looks a sound investment.

Napoli v Roma
Home advantage tells us an awful lot about this fixture. All of Napoli and Roma’s last five meetings have been won by the team playing on their own turf.

Punters can be forgiven for thinking – as this is their fourth head-to-head of the season – that a draw is tempting at 11/5, but only one of the last nine has ended all square.

Rafa Benitez’s Napoli are favourites for victory at 11/8, ahead of Roma at 2/1. Italy national teammates Lorenzo Insigne and Mattia Destro will line up against one another in Naples.

Winger Insigne, who has scored on two of his last three starts in all competitions, is 7/4 for a goal anytime. Destro, meanwhile, has been prolific – with six in 11 in Serie A – since returning from a knee injury, so back him to net for Roma at 13/8.

Despite keeping four league clean sheets in a row coming into this Neapolitan away day, Rudi Garcia’s side are 10/3 to shut their hosts out. Benitez, meanwhile, has seen Napoli only win to nil once in the last seven in Serie A, but back the home team to win and both teams to score at 17/5.
