Liverpool, Dortmund and Ajax an enticing Europa League treble
The Europa League is back on our screens, which is great news for Coral customers, who can take advantage of some superb midweek trebles centered around this exciting European action.
For example, Premier League giants Liverpool, Bundesliga big-guns Borussia Dortmund and Eredivisie royalty Ajax all feature in this sensational special, with the trio a fabulous value 5/1 all to win their upcoming continental clashes.
Brenda Rodgers’ Reds hit the road to battle Bordeaux, while Dortmund duel with Russian also-rans Krasnodar and Amsterdam outfit Ajax clash with Celtic.
Here’s why we think these terrific teams make for such an exciting early Europa League treble…
Last time these two teams met in Europe, back in 2006, the Reds did the double over their Gallic rivals, scoring four without reply on aggregate. As Rodgers’ boys prepare to cross the channel again, they are 9/5 to notch two or more.
In a boost for the Anfield outfit, Philippe Coutinho (a 7/4 shout to score anytime) should be back in action after serving his league suspension, and the combination of the brilliant Brazilian with compatriot Roberto Firmino and Belgian striker Divock Origi (both also 7/4) should be too much for Bordeaux to handle.
Thomas Tuchel’s hungry hitmen have racked up a stupendous 17 so far and are, in fact, unbeaten across all competitions this campaign. So, we don’t particularly fancy the Russian guests’ chances in front of a packed-out and passionate Westfalenstadion, where Borussia are heavy 1/4 favourites for the win, or 11/5 to net four or more.
Dutch juggernauts Ajax have a top-quality spine, from Netherlands international Jasper Cillessen in net to potent trio Anwar El Ghazi (5/1 to fire in first), Arkadiusz Milik (5/4 to nab a goal anytime) and Viktor Fischer (7/4), who could pose Celtic plenty of problems with their potency.
Currently topping the Eredivisie, it is no wonder Frank de Boer’s boys are odds-on 5/6 favourites for victory against stumbling Celtic, who they sank 1-0 last time the Scots ventured to Amsterdam.
