Test your knowledge of scorers from January 27-29
What a weekend of football, we’re sure you will agree. The focus of attention fell on the FA Cup Fourth Round matches, and we weren’t short of an upset or two.
Non-League Sutton United knocked Leeds United out on Sunday in what was a real giant-killing, and must rate as one of the shocks of the tournament in recent years. More than enough to satisfy lovers of a big-price winner, but if you wanted more, Lincoln hammered Championship title-chasers Brighton 3-1 and Wolves ended the hopes of Liverpool, which very few predicted.
In Scotland we saw a thrilling encounter between Motherwell and Rangers at Fir Park. There’s always drama when these sides are involved and we got it again, with two red cards, one after just four-minutes, and two fantastic goals.
Great stuff, but how closely were you watching the action? Courtesy of Sporcle, we’ve set up this football quiz of the weekend, consisting of 10 questions with multiple choice answers. All you have to do is select the player who scored the first goal in each match…..
A tricky test, there’s no doubting it, but we have every confidence in our customers and their football knowledge. Keep a steady hand and cool head when under pressure and you’ll come out on top.
