Man City ace could be off to Russia

Fabian Delph is the big mover with Coral as regards England’s World Cup 2018 squad.

The Manchester City defender has seen his odds of a World Cup spot cut to 8/13 this morning, having previously been a 2/1 shot.

The 28-year-old has gone from a forgotten man to a significant player in the Citizens’ Premier League triumph this season. And he also has the support of the public, with a run of bets on him making the England squad.

Elsewhere, Phil Jones and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are now 1/2 apiece to make Gareth Southgate’s final squad. And Jones’ defensive partner at Manchester United – Chris Smalling – is 7/4 to make the cut.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Punters believe Fabian Delph’s versatility is going to help him get a seat on the plane to Russia, while we have seen strong support for Phil Jones and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the betting to make the squad, both of which have had their odds slashed in the last 24 hours.”
