Barca won’t be told ‘no’ as they prepare mega bid for Coutinho

Brazilian still tops Blaugrana wish-list

Barcelona are reportedly back in for Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool’s wantaway star forward.

Having already been told he is not for sale at any price, the La Liga giants have prepared another bid in excess of £135m, with £100m up front and £35m in various add-ons.

No one likes being told no, particularly the playground billionaires with more money than they know what to do with, and Barca are no different.

Despite being refused by the Reds at every turn, it seems this time, they might just get their man.

Coutinho, for what it’s worth, has told the Anfield hierarchy he would like to leave, too – having already handed in a transfer request.

The former Inter Milan player has yet to play this season, with “illness” cited as the latest excuse for his absence.

Reds’ boss, Jurgen Klopp is sure to be exasperated with the situation having made it clear on numerous occasions he would like the Seleção star to remain part of his plans for the coming season.

The Catalonians seem absolutely determined to get their man, though, and £135m seems a ridiculous amount of money to turn down.

At this juncture, surely it’s best Liverpool just accept the gargantuan offer and use the final eight days of the window to bolster their squad for a huge season ahead.

Is Coutinho even worth that money?
