Bet of the day: Kane to score and Tottenham beat Man Utd

Holly Thackeray | April 10, 2016

Coral’s bet of the day

  • Kane leads Premier League top scorer list with 22 goals
  • Spurs striker has struck six times in his last four games
  • Tottenham have lost just twice at White Hart Lane in the league
  • Man Utd have won only one of their previous four away from Old Trafford

Kane to score and Spurs win

In Sunday’s late kick-off, Premier League title chasers Tottenham host Manchester United at White Hart Lane in a stupendous scuffle that has much at stake for both sides.

What a fantastic fixture to figure in Coral’s latest bet of the day then, with lucky customers able to nab odds of 3/1 (max stake £/€20) for a match special featuring Harry Kane to strike and Spurs to beat their Mancunian visitors.

There are a raft of reasons why the England international and Tottenham make for such a tempting wincast, so read on to find out why the hosts and their heroic hitman should have the measure of Man Utd…

Spurs striker has shooting boots on

Tottenham trail league leaders Leicester City by seven points and know they must keep the pressure on the Foxes, who play ahead of them on Sunday.

But, while, Spurs as a side have silverware still to play for, consistently lethal Kane also has personal accolades to secure.

Britain Soccer Premier League

The sharpshooter currently tops the leading scorer board for the Premier League, with a tremendous 22 goals meaning he is three strikes ahead of Foxes forward Jamie Vardy.

Having hit six times in his previous four top-flight outings, Kane is well on his way to winning the Premier League Golden Boot but is also keeping Tottenham in the trophy chase, with those last six goals helping earn valuable points against the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.

Man Utd travel sickness

Kane has a taste for the big games then, and looks a cert to be the man that makes a difference in this duel, as visiting United lack such a reliable Red Devils game-changer.

There is more to worry about than just a keen Kane for Louis van Gaal’s top four chasing guys, however, as White Hart Lane has become a fortress in the top tier.

As, in the league, Mauricio Pochettino’s men have lost just twice at home all term, while the Londoners also hold the advantage at both ends of the pitch – having notched a whopping 18 more goals than Man Utd and conceded two less.

The Old Trafford outfit have also not fared so well away from their own turf of late in the league, having won only one of their past four road rumbles, with defeats occurring against West Bormwich Albion and Sunderland, making Tottenham and Kane tasty at 3/1 (max stake £/€20) to see off their guests.
