Betting suspended on Antonio Conte’s future
Chelsea manager is under pressure
Coral has suspended betting on Antonio Conte leaving Chelsea before the start of next season.
The move comes after football traders took a surge of bets in the last 24 hours.
The Chelsea manager was 1/5 to exit before the opening Premier League game of the 2018/19 campaign at the time of the firm pulling the plug on the market.
Coral’s John Hill said: “This latest activity in the betting suggests to us that Antonio Conte won’t be at Chelsea next season, whether that is through the Italian walking away from the club or after being dismissed.”
Luis Enrique is the 6/4 favourite to be the next Chelsea manager. Massimiliano Allegri is second best in the betting at 9/2, while Carlo Ancelotti is 7/1 to return to Chelsea.
“There is no shortage of big names at the top of the next Chelsea manager betting with former Barcelona treble winning boss Luis Enrique topping the list ahead of Massimiliano Allegri and Carlo Ancelotti,” added Hill.
