Chelsea boss Antonio Conte 5/1 to be next Italy manager
Is 48-year-old set for second Azzurri stint?
Antonio Conte led Italy to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, and the latest odds from Coral suggest the 48-year-old could give the job another crack.
The Chelsea manager is 5/1 to be the next Italy boss, having been linked with a return to his former position.
But whether or not he takes up the national team gig again, chances are the former Juventus boss won’t be in charge at Stamford Bridge for the start of next season.
It’s now as long as 6/4 for Conte to start next season as Chelsea boss, while the Italian is 1/2 to have left the job by then.
Coral’s John Hill said: “The odds firmly suggest Antonio Conte won’t be at Chelsea next season, while we have seen a flurry of bets for the Italian to take charge of his national team where he looks to be Italy’s number one target.”
Chelsea visit Manchester City on Sunday, with Conte’s current charges 5/4 to take a point or more.
