Coral rumour reel: Man Utd to be handed £150m transfer again

According to tabloid reports, Manchester United (4/1 to win a major trophy this season) are to be handed another £150m to spend on recruits this January. The likes of usual suspects Mats Hummels, Kevin Strootman and Nathaniel Clyne are all being linked again with switches to Old Trafford this winter window.

There’s more good news for Red Devils fans too; highly-rated Belgium starlet Adnan Januzaj looks likely to stay this this season, after being told by Louis van Gaal that he won’t be allowed out on loan and should instead fight for his place. Former Man Utd boss David Moyes was looking to recruit him for Real Sociedad on loan, but that deal now looks unlikely.

One man who could be on his way out, though, is Radamel Falcao, who has failed to impress the Dutch boss. The Colombian hitman is being linked with a move to Serie A, with current top two Juventus and Roma reportedly interested.

Arsenal (also 4/1 to win a major trophy this term), meanwhile, are looking to bring in defensive recruits this January, to cover for their depleted backline. Arsene Wenger confirmed: “Of course we are on the market and work very hard every day. All our scouts are working very hard to find a defender.”

The likes of West Ham United’s Winston Reid, who is out of contract at the end of the season, Celtic’s Virgil van Dijk and Mexico’s Espaynol star Hector Moreno are all on the Frenchman’s radar.

Wenger spoke ahead of the potential move for Legia Warsaw midfield teenager Kyrstian Bielik. “He is having a medical today. A fee has been agreed,” he said.

Back to Moyes and Sociedad again; the Scot is hoping he can bring in Burnley’s star striker Danny Ings, who will be available for free in the summer.

Under-fire QPR boss Harry Redknapp has said he is trying to ship Shaun Wright-Phillips out on loan, but the former Manchester City winger refuses to go. “We’ve offered [him] the chance to go out on loan, but he’s not wanted to go. I think he needs to move on and play,” Redknapp said.

Another Belgian attacker on the rumour reel today, as Everton’s Kevin Mirallas has halted contract talks with his club, creating speculation about his future at Goodison Park and alerting other sides.

Relegation chances Crystal Palace (2/1) have been busy this transfer window, and new boss Alan Pardew has not ruled out moves for Swansea City’s Bafetimbi Gomis and Liverpool left back Jose Enrique, who has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield.

Finally, one for Simpsons TV show fans; Max Power could be on the move to Brighton. The Tranmere Rovers midfielder has been prolific in front of goal this season, and clubs such as Swansea, Burnley, Derby County and Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are reportedly interested in the 21-year-old as well.
