Coral Rumour Reel: Zlatan Ibrahimovic available for cut-price fee?

French Ligue 1 winners PSG, 12/1 Champions League chances with Coral, have told star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic he can leave the Parc des Princes for a cut-price fee, alerting AC Milan, Arsenal and Manchester United, according to today’s tabloids.

Now 33, the Sweden superstar has symbolised the Parisian club’s rise to prominence with a prolific scoring record during three seasons there. As Ibrahimovic gets older, he is naturally taking longer to recover from injuries, and it is this fact of life that appears to be behind reports that PSG are willing to let him go.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, 4/1 to steer his side to their first Premier League title since 2004, has long held interest in Ibrahimovic, while the Red Devils are in need of striking reinforcements to ease the burden on Old Trafford captain Wayne Rooney.

Napoli centre back Kalidou Koulibaly, 24, is in the middle of a transfer tug of war between 10/3 top six finish hopefuls Everton and Southampton. The Premier League pair both want to strengthen their rearguard options as respective lack of investment and injuries leave both short in defence.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis vowed to make surprise signings, and has launched an ambitious £5m bid for Tottenham and Argentina centre half Federico Fazio. Moving for the 28-year-old after signing Wales counterpart James Chester from relegated Hull City raises questions over Joleon Lescott’s future at The Hawthorns.

Norwich City, 6/4 to be relegated, are attempting an audacious loan bid for Italy and Roma striker Mattia Destro, who fell out of favour in the Eternal City last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at AC Milan.

Speaking of Azzurri internationals, the Canaries’ relegation rivals Sunderland fear long-time target Fabio Borini will snub a second spell at the Stadium of Light for Inter Milan. Under-fire Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat also wants to tempt left-footer Kieran Richardson back to Wearside from Aston Villa.
