Coral’s Rumour Reel: Cherries chasing former Swansea midfielder?

Having been narrowly defeated 1-0 in their first ever Premier League encounter by Aston Villa, Bournemouth are seeking reinforcements to help keep them in the top-light this season, and are 11/2 with Coral to eventually finish bottom.

Eddie Howe is hoping to land former Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman, who is now with Serie A side Napoli, with the Cherries having reportedly launched a £5.5m bid for the Ducthman’s signature this summer.

Bournemouth’s potential relegation rivals later this term Sunderland are again in talks with out-of-favour Liverpool frontman Fabio Borini, despite the Italian having turned down a switch to the Stadium of Light last year.

Balotelli Rodgers

One player reluctant to depart Anfield is Mario Balotelli, with the Merseyside misfit wanting to remain at the club in order to pick up a six-figure loyalty bonus that he will therefore be entitled to. Italian clubs Lazio and Sampdoria are believed to want the flop on loan for this campaign.

Brendan Rodgers may want to see the back of Balotelli, but another star he could see leave the club this term is Lucas Leiva, with the Northern Irishman having left the Brazilian midfielder out of his opening matchday squad. Juventus are now said to be interested in acquiring the South American.

West Ham United are still keen on securing a deal for a new striker, after Enner Valencia was ruled out for several months with injury, and Emmanuel Adebayor and Javier Hernandez are the two forwards top of their priority list.

Leicester City recently endured the loss of veteran Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, but they have been successful in their bid to replace him, having reportedly saw their £3m offer for Napoli maestro Gokhan Inler accepted.
