Toffees seek second win of season over Canaries

Everton have already played Norwich this season, when they beat them on penalties in the Capital One Cup so will be confident of coming away from East Anglia with all three points.

The Toffees are in great form at the moment and the win against Norwich has seen them embark on an unbeaten run over the last six matches and as a result Everton are 31/20 with Coral to beat Alex Neil’s men.

Last time out in the Premier League against Norwich, Roberto Martinez’ men ran out comprehensive 2-0 winners, with Kevin Mirallas and Gareth Barry getting on the scoresheet. The duo, as a result, are 2/1 and 12/1 respectively in the anytime market.

Lethal Lukaku and brilliant Barkley

Everton’s Belgian centre forward is 9/2 to break the deadlock against Norwich and has netted in every match since the sides last met, boasting a tally of seven.

He is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe right now and the relationship he has established with Ross Barkley, who is also in fine form is a joy to watch.

The attacking midfielder who recently said he studies clips of Zinedine Zidane among others to improve his game, has scored three in his last three Premier League matches. Therefore, odds of 2/1 for him to dispatch anytime are well worth considering.

Former Toffees defender Alan Stubbs recently said Everton must build their team around young stars such as Barkley and Lukaku: “If Everton are going to become a top four team they have to build a team around these young players.

“You look at the Everton team and the players now, whenever they get the ball they look like they’ve got lots of options and are full of confidence.

“Lukaku is unplayable at times up front and Ross Barkley, Gerard Deulofeu; they all want to take the ball into tight areas and are not afraid if someone is close to them.

“Everton look very exciting at the moment.”

A bleak mid-Winter for Canaries

It hasn’t exactly been the easiest of seasons for Norwich, who have won just once in eight Premier League matches. Despite this, their resilient showing against Arsenal in their last home match yielded a point with Lewis Grabban getting on the scoresheet.

The striker is 2/1 to net anytime, while Cameron Jerome who dispatched in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City is 15/8 in the same market.
