Five players who could move in the winter window

With the January transfer fast approaching, Coral take a look at five players who could be on the move, with a number of names already doing the rounds in the tabloids.
It is a month which can make all the difference to a demanding campaign, especially in the Premier League so with that in mind let’s take a look at which five came across our radar.
Nigel de Jong
The AC Milan midfielder enforcer has been linked to Premier League leaders Leicester City in recent weeks, with Gokhan Inler failing to settle in at the Foxes, who are 20/1 with Coral to win the Premier League. The combative Dutchman won the title with Manchester City and his presence and experience would no doubt be invaluable to Claudio Ranieri’s side.
While Chelsea could reignite their interest, Arsenal and Manchester United have recently expressed an interest in the talented centre back. While the defender could eventually move on, Everton could well wait until after the European Championships this summer, when his stock might rise dramatically if he impresses. However, speculation about a winter move will continue until the January transfer window closes.
The latest Southampton star to be linked with a move away from St Mary’s, the combative Kenyan midfielder is reportedly a target for Arsenal, who have injuries to Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin. However, Saints will dig their feet in as much as they can and this is an issue which could drag on for months.
There can be no arguments that Stoke’s Austrian attacker has been one of the form player’s in the Premier League this term and is sure to attract a host of admirers, having starred in his club’s victory over Manchester City. The Staffordshire outfit could easily demand between £15m and £20m for him which they can then reinvest.
Should Wanyama leave the south coast, Porto’s midfielder has been identified as a potential replacement. There is no doubt that the 23-year-old Frenchman has potential and if Saints are well-compensated, they could easily afford the Porto prospect.
