GOALvember week 3 and how they rated last time

The Premier League returns with plenty of top football action, and as a result you all know what that means! Yes, you’ve guessed it. Remember, it’s GOAAAAAAAAAL (drum roll) …..vember. GOALvember! (applause)

Last week was the international break, though there were still plenty of free, high-value bets to be won.

Top of the tree; Wayne Rooney, picked by 483 entrants, which translates to approximately 25 per cent of you. The England captain bagged a brace against Scotland, and also netted a well struck penalty against Slovenia in the Three Lions’ Euro 2016 qualifier. In total three goals, which took him one ahead of Jimmy Greaves in the all-time England goal charts and three behind Sir Bobby Charlton. He is likely to be in action for Manchester United against Arsenal at the Emirates, and remains their likeliest scorer.

Robin van Persie came next, selected by 19 per cent of you. The Dutch striker scored the opener against Latvia and has three in eight Premier League appearances, though isn’t available for this week’s GOALvember through injury.

Danny Welbeck was chosen by 205 people, proving to be a worthy choice, bagging a brace against Slovenia, and will be hoping to show former club Man Utd that they were wrong to let him go. Available for this week’s GOALvember, he is worth £7 per goal in free bets.

Motenegro’s Stevan Jovetic dispatched against Sweden from the spot to rescue a point in their Euro 2016 Group G qualifier. Manchester City take on on Swansea, and the attacker is worth £6 per goal in free bets and has scored twice in the Premier League this term.

Other available picks this time around include Diego Costa, who seems to be fit once again, as he looks to catch leading marksman Sergio Aguero, with the Argentine one ahead of him. Chelsea host West Bromwich Albion at home, and the Brazilian-born Spain international is worth £5 per goal in free bets, while Aguero is also worth the same.
