Kane and Aguero face off as Man City visit Spurs in the Premier League
Manchester City will be hoping to keep their hopes of finishing second in the Premier League alive, as they take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are evens with Coral to beat Spurs and the Chilean manager hit back at Jose Mourinho calling Chelsea a “small team” in response to the Portuguese manager saying City should have been docked points for breaking UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
“When we play against Chelsea I say the impression is we play against a small team with very good players,” he said. “Every person is different. For me, a big team which has possession of the ball must try to score more goals, must try always to win. It is different ways of thinking.
“Every manager can say what he wants about Financial Fair Play rules,’ he said. ‘We don’t lose points because we don’t deserve to.
“I congratulate his [Mourinho’s] owner because he is always improving his squad,’ he said. “And I congratulate his fans, Mourinho and the players because they deserve the title.”
Last time out, City were pushed all the way by a resolute Aston Villa side, though eventually ran out 3-2 winners, with Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho netting an 89th minute winner. He is 6/1 to score anytime, while Sergio Aguero, who opened the scoring against the West Midlands outfit is 4/1 to break the deadlock, and will be keen to extend his lead at the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts.
Interestingly, Spurs striker Harry Kane, is just one behind him on 20 goals, and he will be doing all he can to capitalise in front of a home crowd with odds of 6/1 to get the opener. Last time out, the north London side were held to a 2-2 draw away from home by Southampton with Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli finding the net. Both are 5/1 to score anytime.
The reverse fixture earlier in the season though finished 4-1 to City, with Aguero scoring all four goals, while Christian Eriksen dispatched the Spurs solitary. He is 10/3 to find the net anytime.
