Luis Enrique heavily backed to replace Wenger at Arsenal
Could an appointment be made before the end of the season?
Coral has seen some strong support for Luis Enrique in the betting to be the next Arsenal manager, now making the ex-Barcelona boss the 5/2 favourite.
Enrique was 13/2 back when the market opened following the announcement that Arsene Wenger would be stepping down at the end of the season.
But reports in Spain and England are suggesting the ex-Roma coach has leaped to the front of the Gunners’ wishlist.
“After the initial rush which catapulted Brendan Rodgers to the top of the market it has settled down a bit now and we’re seeing sustained support for Enrique to be the man to take over from Wenger, making him the clear favourite” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
Rodgers is now 10/1, with Carlo Ancelotti (5/1) and Joachim Low (6/1) the only other two after Enrique to have single figure odds.
