Premier League: Pardew and Palace to pose Tottenham problems

Crystal Palace certainly have the tools to trouble hosts Tottenham and cause a ruckus at White Hart Lane, where they are a tempting 10/3 to take the spoils.

It would hardly be a shock result considering how Alan Pardew has propelled Palace up the table since taking over halfway through last term, and the ambitious Eagles now rest six places and three points above Spurs, who have stuttered so far this season.

Just a handful of games into his reign, Pardew oversaw a 2-1 triumph against Mauricio Pochettino’s men and is a tasty 12/1 to repeat that feat by the exact same scoreline.

Early achievers, the Eagles may currently sit sixth in the Premier League, but are just one point behind third spot Manchester United thanks largely to their away form, which includes a notable defeat of Chelsea.

Fan favourite Jason Puncheon was on target last time Palace met Spurs, and is 4/1 to be a goal hero again anytime, but so far this season has been all about the attacking exploits of Bosman bargain Bakary Sako and explosive Yannick Bolasie, who are respective 11/4 and 4/1 shouts in the same market.

As for the hosts, Tottenham have found goals hard to come by, at least domestically, but did bag three in the Europa League midweek.

Those continental excursions could count against them, though, so Spurs are 5/2 to split the spoils with Palace on home soil, where they have already ground out two draws this term.

A win for the Londoners against their fellow capital club will require Spurs to show more than they did in a narrow victory at Sunderland, though they are 10/11 odds-on favourites to nab back-to-back wins.

Hitman Harry Kane got on the scoresheet against the Eagles last season and is 9/2 to net first, or 6/5 to do so anytime again, as he seeks to put an end to his goal drought.

South Korea international Son Heung-Min, meanwhile, has proven he can lead the line if Kane continues to struggle and, after the summer signing struck midweek, he is a superb 7/4 in the anytime market. Excellent playmaker Christian Eriksen could also be a profitable punt at 7/1 to have the final say, as he so often did last campaign.

Betting tip: Place a stake on Palace, who enjoy their travels, at 10/3 to triumph
