West Ham considering Defoe swoop
In the midst of a stuttering season under Slaven Bilic, West Ham United are reportedly seeking to boost their ranks ahead of the second half of the campaign in a bid to revive their form and fortunes.
The Hammers have been linked with Sunderland sharpshooter Jermain Defoe in the backpages, a signing which would likely add much needed goals to the club’s stumbling performances of late.

It’s believed that it would take a mere £6m to lure to clinical Sunderland striker away from Wearside, with West Ham keen to bolster their attacking options and move further up the standings in the remainder of the term.
Liverpool seeking Barbosa signing
While West Ham may be struggling of late, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are flying and look likely of continuing their charge for a first ever Premier League title triumph this current campaign.
The Reds have been put on high alert recently regarding a transfer target too, with Inter Milan youngster Gabriel Barbosa having out his future in doubt after a slow start to life in Italy.
Inter’s Brazilian starlet has failed to settle at the San Siro following his £30m switch in the summer, having made just three Serie A appearances under coach Stefano Pioli.
Liverpool will reportedly look to capitalise on the situation and capture him in January, with Pioli having recently admitted the attacker could depart in the January transfer market.
