Coral’s rumour reel
The summer transfer window will soon open wide and Premier League clubs will aim to splash the cash on new arrivals for the 2016/17 campaign, while Euro 2016 continues to excite and showcase the continent’s finest talent over in France.
Brady bound for Leicester?
One player that undoubtedly boosted his credentials at the tournament is Republic of Ireland and Norwich City wideman Robbie Brady, with the Dubliner having been pivotal to Martin O’Neill’s men fighting their way to the last 16.
The Boys in Green looked on course for a huge shock over France in their knockout stage encounter but were unfortunately edged out by Didier Deschamps’ Les Bleus, but Canaries left-sided player Brady showcased his dynamic attacking abilities with goals against both Italy and the hosts.
Following an impressive campaign, Premier League champions Leicester City have upped their interest in the Norwich star and are reportedly set for talks regarding a move for the former Manchester United winger, who is still only 24 year of age.
Club and international teammate Wes Hoolahan recently penned a deal at Carrow Road, but it looks likely Brady could end up playing Champions League football next term, as Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes aim to snap up the Irishman this summer.
Wenger wants Lacazette at Arsenal
Lyon previously turned down a bid from West Ham United for star striker Alexandre Lacazette, but they are now facing a battle to keep their main marksman from the clutches of another London outfit – Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger still keen on adding a new frontman to his Gunners ranks.
The French forward’s representatives and Arsenal officials have reportedly already met up regarding a big-money switch to the Emirates, with the 25-year-old being valued at a mammoth £45m by his current Ligue 1 club.
Lacazette has struck an impressive 72 goals in 172 outings for Lyon so far in his career, since coming through the side’s academy to make his senior debut back in 2010, but the Gunners are believed to face competition from French champions PSG as they seek a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic this year.
Blues continue battle for Nainggolan
Antonio Conte will take charge of Chelsea once his Italy side finish their Euro 2016 duties on French soil and the future Stamford Bridge coach has outlined Belgium international midfield enforcer Radja Nainggolan as a Blues target.
The capital club have already had two bids turned down for the Roma defensive midfielder but are hopeful a third improved offer can clinch his signature this summer, as Conte seeks the feisty Belgian to anchor his Chelsea engine room.
Roma are holding out for a sum of around £31m for the 28-year-old, with the Blues having made the Belgian a top priority, though they are also looking at the possibility of landing Leicester and France anchorman N’Golo Kante too.
