Sergio Aguero a top scorer market mover following four-goal haul

Sergio Aguero’s odds to be Premier League top scorer come the end of the season have been slashed dramatically by Coral to 11/8 (from 4/1), following the Argentina international’s four-goal haul against Tottenham at the weekend. He is now joint-favourite alongside Chelsea’s Diego Costa.

Aguero also missed a penalty in the 4-1 romp at the Etihad, but has nine for the campaign in the English top flight now, putting him level with the Brazilian-born Spain frontman. As Costa is plagued by a niggling hamstring problem, which required unorthodox horse placenta treatment when at Atletico Madrid last term, Aguero really is an outstanding shout to be leading marksman.

There have been other market movers here, however. Costa’s price has drifted from odds-on at 10/11 to 11/8. Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, meanwhile, was cut from 33/1 into 20/1 following his brace in the 8-0 demolition of Sunderland. With the likes of Serbia international Dusan Tadic in support, the Italian frontman, now on six for the season, could be a fantastic outside shout for Coral customers.

As a result of Ronald Koeman’s Saints battering the Black Cats, their odds for a top four finish have been halved to 8/1. Arsenal have also seen their price change in this market, having been held by Hull City at home 2-2. The Gunners remain odds-on at 8/13 (from 4/9) to end the campaign in such a position.

West Ham United gave manager Sam Allardyce an early 60th birthday present by beating Burnley at Turf Moor, and he remains on course to achieve the brief of a top 10 finish set by the club’s owners. As a result, Coral have slashed odds for the Hammers to end the season there to 11/10 (from 2/1).

Finally, the relegation betting market sees QPR shorten to 8/13 (from 8/11) following their agonising 3-2 last gasp loss to Liverpool. Sunderland, meanwhile, are now at 11/4 (from 4/1) after their capitulation at Southampton.
