Van Persie the punt to fire United to success over Everton

Manchester United are odds-on at 4/6 with Coral to beat Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday (12pm KO, Live on BT Sport1), and look worthy favourites to do so and notch their first back-to-back victories under new manager Louis van Gaal.

The Red Devils have won just one of the last five Premier League games against Everton (D1, L3), but despite a mixed bag of results have made a far better start to the season than their Merseyside rivals.

United go into the match just two points behind the top four, whereas the Toffees have lost both their last two in the league and currently sit just two points above the relegation zone.

This game is also not what Everton want after a 4000 mile round trip to Russia to face Krasnodar in a UEFA Europa League fixture on Thursday, and United can take advantage of any fatigue to secure another valuable three points.

What has been noticeable about United in recent games is that they have been very quick out of the blocks.

I can see a smilar scenario in this, and that makes the 29/20 about United in the Half Time/Full Time market look well worth a wager.

Robin van Persie is not the most orginal choice in the first goalscorer market, but having refound his touch looks worth siding with at the 7/2 on offer with Coral to bag the opener and fire United to success.

The other big game on Sunday sees Chelsea play host to arch-rivals Arsenal (2.05pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1), and the draw looks decent value at the 9/2 on offer with Coral.

Both sides are unbeaten in the league this season, and Arsenal have lost just one of their last 14 league matches in the top flight since defeat in this fixture back in March.

The Gunners have also won away at Stamford Bridge more often than any other visiting side, and seem to be developing into a really solid unit which has been boosted by the arrival of Danny Welbeck.

However, they face a Chelsea side who top the league following a flying start to the campaign, and their gaffer Jose Mourinho has never lost as an opposition coach against Arsene Wenger in any competition (W6, D5).

Much will depend on whether Arsenal can hold Chelsea early, and I am sure that Wenger will have his side set up to try and keep things tight and would be happy to come away with a point.

In the anytime goalscorer market the aforementioned Welbeck appeals at 11/4, and both teams to net looks a solid punt at 4/6.
