Big scoreline expected at the King Power once more

Leicester City and Manchester United have provided a few crazy results at the East Midlands outfit’s home ground in the Premier League era, with scorelines such as 4-0, 6-2, 4-1 and 5-3.

However, just the latter was in favour of the Foxes (21/10 with Coral for victory), though it happened to occur most recently last season, and they are certainly a team in form ahead of the current clash as they remarkably sit top.

If you fancy this match-up to produce goals galore again, then take tasty odds of 13/2 for there to be over 4.5, or you can take a safer price of 27/10 for more than 3.5.

While Leicester being in first place, one point ahead of second-placed United, they also boast the league’s top scorer in Jamie Vardy, who has struck an impressive 13 in as many matches.

As has been the topic of much interest, he is also on a run of netting in 10 successive top-flight games. And the rapid Englishman has the chance to now break the record he’s equalled, which was coincidentally set by a former Red Devil Ruud van Nistelrooy.

In light of this, Coral are offering a match special for customers, with enhanced odds of 2/1 available for Vardy, who effectively got the winner in the 5-3 triumph over United last season, just to score anytime (max stake of £20). His price is a much shorter 6/5 in the normal market.

If, however, he falls at the final hurdle and fails to score, then Claudio Ranieri’s men can look to another in-form forward, Riyad Mahrez, who has eight goals in all competitions this term. Leonardo Ulloa, meanwhile, bagged a brace against United last campaign, so the duo are 2/1 and 11/4 respectively to net again anytime.

On top of that, three others will be spurred on as they face their former club that let them go, with Daniel Drinkwater (9/1), Ritchie De Laet and Danny Simpson (both 16/1) all hoping to start.

For the visitors (27/10 match chances), some will be even more surprised that they are so high up in the table than they are of Leicester’s achievement, with the club’s own fans getting frustrated with the lack of attacking display.

This could be due to the number of 0-0 draws they’ve carved out, including most recently in the Champions League against PSV, so that scoreline once more is priced at 17/2. A share of the spoils is 12/5.

But, going by history, a win to nil for Man Utd at 29/10 may be more likely as they have done so in eight of their last meetings with the Foxes in all comps.

If Louis van Gaal’s men are to find the net, they’ll be going that Anthony Martial and captain Wayne Rooney can recapture their form, and they are both priced at 7/4 in the anytime market.

No current Man Utd player has scored against Leicester for the club, with Ander Herrera being out injured, but Memphis Depay (also 7/4) will be hoping to add to his strike last time out in the league against Watford.

Coral’s top tip: With Vardy being just one goal away from breaking the Premier League scoring record for goals in successive games, back him at 2/1 to net anytime (max stake £20).
