A place in the group stages is at stake
The first leg of the Champions League play-offs kick-off tonight, with 12 sides competing for the final six places in this year’s Group Stage.
There are three games tonight and the Coral News Team have picked out tips for all of them…
BATE Borisov v PSV Eindhoven
BATE are still the only Belarusian side to reach the Group Stage, but they’ll have their work cut out to get there this season.
Eredivisie champions PSV stand in their way. The Dutch side are 11/10 favourites to gain a first-leg advantage.
BATE’s domestic season is already in full swing though, which means they should be in better shape than the visitors. If you think there could be an upset, BATE or Draw is 3/4 in the Double Chance market.
It could be worth keeping an eye on Luuk de Jong to get on the scoresheet at 8/5 as well.
Benfica v PAOK
Benfica are chasing Champions League qualification for the ninth successive season here. They’re 4/9 to beat Greek side PAOK at home on the night.
The Portuguese side should be too strong for their opponents. It’s 5/4 that they Win to Nil and avoid giving up a crucial away goal.
If PAOK are going to get anything, they’ll need a good showing from Aleksandar Prijovic. The big Serb is 3/1 to nab a goal.
Crvena Zvezda v Red Bull Salzburg
Red Bull Salzburg come into this game on the back of four straight wins in the Austrian Bundesliga. They’ve scored nine goals and only conceded once during their impressive start to the campaign.
Salzburg are 11/10 to leave Belgrade with a win. But it’s not going to be easy.
Arsenal are the only away side to win at the Rajko Mitic Stadium in the last 12 months. The Serbian side have kept eight clean sheets in their last 10 home games too. Under 2.5 Goals is going for 4/7.
Munas Dabbur leads the goalscorer markets. The Salzburg forward is 13/10 to open the scoring.
The home team will be looking to Ben Nabouhane to provide a goal threat. He’s a 5/2 shot to get a goal.
