Philfen Blue Max and Magical Billy among tips for Harlow and Towcester

Philfen Blue Max the standout punt at Harlow
Harlow and Towcester take centre stage on Racing Post Greyhound TV tonight (Sky 468, Freesat 250) and T6 Philfen Blue Max rates the standout bet at the former in the 592m Open at 21:15.
Dick Philpot’s charge has some useful form to his name, finishing runner-up to the smart King Kid at Wimbledon and winning decent contests recently at Henlow and Romford.
He moved well in a recent trial over 415m at this venue and the step back up in trip is sure to suit.
This is also a weak contest in relation to what he has been running in of late and Philfen Blue Max looks potentially a cut-above his rivals.
If turning in a handy pitch the son of Tullymurry Act can kick in the turbo mid-race to power to glory.
Mahoonagh Amy drawn for action
In the 415 Standard Open (21:48), T5 Mahoonagh Emy looks decent value to exploit what looks a good draw to land the spoils.
Trained by Roy Griffin, the bitch comes into the race in fine form having won five of her last eight starts.
Only one of those has come in Open company but there was lots to like about her success over course and distance last week when very quickly away and making all to slam Rahyvira Ming by six lengths.
She has nothing to fear from that re-opposing rival and with four railers on her inside, and T3 Talltrees Lady and T4 Ferryforth Maria sure to be cutting in at the first bend, there is a possibility of scrimmaging on the inner.
If that proves to be the case Mahoonagh Amy looks ideally housed to capitalise if producing another slick exit.
Harlow best bets
21:15 T6 Philfen Blue Max (NAP)
21:48 T5 Mahoonagh Emy
Magical Billy looks terrific at Towcester
T4 Magical Billy ran a blinder when runner-up on debut at Towcester and is strongly fancied to go one better an open his account at the track in the A2 there tonight at 22:11.
Kevin Hutton’ charge has some very smart Open race winning form to his name at Romford and looked an unlucky loser her last week when beaten 1 1/4 lengths by Bravo Maggie in this grade.
The son of Premier Fantasy got badly baulked at the first bend from the six box before keeping on strongly to be gaining all the way to the line.
It was a terrific effort given how the race panned out and Magical Billy is sure to improve for that sighter.
He also looks better drawn in the black jacket and looks different class to his rivals given a clean run race.
Coris Joe poised to follow-up
T5 Coris Joe impressed when winning over course and distance seven days ago and looks to hold outstanding claims of going in again in the D2 (22:26).
After being slowly away the son of Westmead Joe showed plenty of gears to make up the lost ground and power clear to beat the re-opposing Shlowdown Sally by a length.
It was a most striking performance, especially as it is hard to make up lost ground at the start in sprints, and one which suggested there was even better to come.
That was also just his second competitive start following a spell on the sidelines through lameness and Coris Joe is sure to come on a bundle for it.
He is also a powerful sort with useful form to his name over four bends, so if turning handy or leading is going to be very hard to contain.
Towcester best bets
22:11 T4 Magical Billy (NB)
22:26: T5 Coris Joe
