Chopchop Jack shine in Romford showing
Corals experts provide their best bets for a 12-race card at Romford screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV.
Chopchop Jack can cut Romford rivals down to size
T6 Chopchop Jack ran a blinder on six-bend debut and rates a solid bet to land the S1 contest at 20:50 on tonight’s card at Romford screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250).
Ernie Gaskin’s dog showed bags of early pace over course and distance four days ago before tiring late on to finish a two length third to Mallogs Mandy.
He is entitled to strip much fitter for that spin and, a reproduction of the 13.81 sectional he produced, should be more than good enough to see him turn the first bend in front.
As the sole wide side the son of Aero Majestic should also get acres of space in which to operate and if leading early doors can quickly establish a race winning lead to register a trap-to-line success.
Itsur Missus makes plenty of appeal
T3 Itsur Missus has been running well of late and looks drawn to deliver in the A2 (21:56).
Paul Young’s bitch scored in good style in the grade on her penultimate outing and looked a bit unlucky not to follow-up last week when showing plenty of early dash before enduring a couple of hefty bumps and finishing third.
She produced a 3.78 split in the latter and that reads really well in relation to this contest.
With two slow trappers either side a similar slick exit can see Itsur Missus boss proceedings from the outset.
Gable Juliet drawn to complete hat-trick
T1 Gable Juliet has won her last two races in terrific style and can take a step up in class in her stride to land the A1 (22:11).
Martyn Wiley’s bitch is blessed with stacks of early pace and has shown improved times on the clock since returning from season.
The daughter of Blackstone Genie looks the type who should have plenty more to offer and has a strike rate of 75 per cent when sporting the red jacket (three wins from four starts).
Gable Juliet also runs the bends extremely well and with the possibility of two closely matched dogs in Traps 5 and 6 coming together can put her early toe to good effect to slip clear of the pack to make all.
Lots to like about Classy Look
In the other A1 on the card (22:26), T1 Classy Look has plenty going for her.
Trained by Maxine Locke, the daughter of Tyrur Sugar Ray impressed on her first competitive start on return from season when making all to score over course and distance nine days ago.
In doing so she clocked a rapid 3.70 split and winning time of 24.25 and that sets the standard in this line-up.
With further improvement assured, this looks a nice opening for Classy Look to go in again.
