Romford best bets: Twentynineblack can leave Romford rivals in a spin

Coral experts provide their Romford best bets for a 13-race mixed card screened leave on Racing Post Greyhound TV.
Twentynineblack value to come up trumps at Romford
There is some decent Open race action is a 13-race mixed card from Romford tonight on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250) and T1 Twentynineblack looks cracking value to land the Like Coral On Facebook Standard (22:11).
David Mullins’ dog scored in good style over course and distance, four starts back when sporting the red jacket and showing plenty of early pace before running on strongly to beat Coris Joe by two lengths in a time of 24.17.
That reads very well in the context of this contest, and the son of Archaton Pine once again looks nicely house on the rails to turn in a handy pitch.
In doing so, he can use his middle-race pace to assert from halfway and land the spoils.
Zap drawn to attack
T1 Droopys Zap got no sort of run last time out, but can exploit what looks a good draw to get back to winning ways in the Coral Backs Children With Cancer UK Standard (21:56).
The bitch has won five of her 17 starts at the venue and has an excellent strike rate of 50 per cent (four wins from eight runs) when wearing the red jacket.
She landed her first Open success in impressive fashion back in June when producing a 3.77 sectional to make all and score by 2 1/2 lengths in a time of 24.27.
That reads very well in the context of this contest and if breaking in her best style the daughter of Mail Brandy should be able to quickly boss the inside, get on the bunny and establish a race winning advantage.
Zoos Boom Boom can go in gain
In the Coral Supports The RGOA Standard (10:26), T1 Zoos Boom Boom is taken to complete a six-timer.
Ernie Gaskin’s charge is in the form of his life at present and has clocked almost identical times in his last five successes at the track.
On each occasion he has been quickly away and really impressed last time out when beating subsequent winner, Toot Hill Wizard by 1 1/2 lengths.
The son of Kinloch Brae has the bit between his teeth at present and with main market rivals T2 Dawsons Waft and T3 Droopys Story returning from a break, can make the most of his race fitness to blast clear for a trap-to-line success.
Romanov can cash-in on class drop
T3 Roswell Romanov was a huge eye-catcher last time out and can take advantage of a drop in class to land the Coral Home Of The Price Bomb Stayers (22.40).
Mark Wallis’ dog looked unlucky not to reach the final of the Coral Champion Stakes when getting forced out very wide at the second bend in his semi last week.
Romanov was in a good pitch when the interference occurred, and it was to his credit that he rallied strongly to finish third and fail to qualify by just 1/2 a length.
Prior to that he had set the standard in the heats and granted a clear passage. This less competitive affair looks an excellent opportunity for the son of Quail Hollow to get back on the scoresheet.
