Aintree Saturday

Emerged as a potential Aintree contender when staying on well to land the Irish Grand National by three quarters of a length at Fairyhouse in April 2014.

Shutthefrontdoor has had two runs this season, finishing third in a handicap hurdle at Aintree in November before pulling up in the Greatwood Gold Cup Handicap Chase at Newbury on March 5th, after which he was found to have abscesses in two feet.

Jumps race record

With a 53 per cent strike rate from 17 starts over fences, Shutthefrontdoor also has a couple of placings to his credit.
