Monday Quiz – Grand National
Frank Monkhouse | 10 April 2017
The 2017 Grand National is in the record books, and we hope you enjoyed the day. The runners, riders, build up, drama, and most of all we hope you came out of the race with more cash than you went in with.
It’s a lottery, and studying the form often leaves you chasing shadows. Stick a pin in the paper or go with a relative’s name. The latter would’ve served some well on Saturday. It is great for the sport of horse racing, and shines a bright light on the work people connected with the game do all year round. We tip our hat to everyone who took part, all putting in the effort for our enjoyment – and a big winning prize, of course.
It was all over in the blink of an eye. But how much do you remember about the race itself, and how much did you already know? We set our readers the usual Monday coffee break quiz, and this week it is Grand National themed. Five-minutes, let’s see how you go…..
So, how was it? A faller at the first or a sound round of jumping? Some questions were easier than others, but we’d be expecting you to go close to a full-house this week.
We want to know how you did, so post your scores in the comments section below. We’re also doing requests for future quiz topics, so if you have an idea for a theme, then let us know at the bottom of this page. Feel free to share the quiz with your friends, family, work mates and fellow sports fans to compare your score.
