Day 3 special: Get Vautour at 3/1 while it lasts! All customers welcome
We return with another fantastic hero offer, on day 3 of the festival we are offering a very generous 3/1. Willie Mullin’s Gelding will be highly fancied after previous Cheltenham experience.
The six-year-old won the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle last year before being switched to fences this term and will have Ruby Walsh in the saddle to enhance his chances.
Walsh is something of a Cheltenham Festival wonder and will be hoping to ride another winner here.
Vautour has won 2 out of 3 over fences and was runner up in the 3 after a jumping error made the task too steep. Vautour’s season so far has been hit and miss. A beginners chase win at Navan was an impressive performance beating Clarcam before a shock defeat over Christmas at Leopardstown behind the same horse in a Grade One. He then got his confidence back in what could be described as an egg and spoon contest in January back at Leopardstown. Mullins has said that the horse has only shown 50% of what he is capable of which is a scary thought.
With only nine runners going to post, Vautour does look an each way certainty and with this being the first time on good ground since last year’s Festival where he looked invincible in the Supreme Novices Hurdle, the improvement we could potentially see is frightening, even with the potential threats of Ptit Zig, Valseur Lido and Apache Stronghold.
