Monday’s Market Movers
5.05 Carlisle – Impulsive American.
In the 5.05 at Carlisle, David Pipe’s Impulsive Dream has been well backed from 7/2 into 9/4 with Coral to take the opener, an apprentice handicap.
A French import, Impulsive American has shown ability in France having raced nine times on the flat. He’s already won over £10,000 in prize money and he’s being backed to add to that pot this evening. He’s coming off a 133 day break but that isn’t deterring support given David Pipe has an excellent 31% strike rate with his runners at this track.
5.15 Kempton – Isamol
Isamol has seen early support this morning to land a one mile four furlong handicap at Kempton having been backed into 10/3 from 4/1.
Amanda Perrett’s colt is a lightly raced three year-old but has already notched up one victory having won on his second start. He has struggled off a handicap mark in the low 80’s, but now rated just 78, he could return to winning ways this evening.
7.25 Leicester – Dovil’s Duel
Dovil’s Duel has seen some interesting support this morning having been backed from a morning high of 14/1 into a current price of 8/1.
He’s not been in the best form of late having not managed to get his head up since September 2013, but he’s come right down the weights since then and is now 5lbs lower than his highest career winning mark. Oisin Murphy is back on board and he could be very well handicapped on his old form.
